Project Overview

Background

V-TRANSFRM stands for Valley Transport Resiliency Advancement for Neighborhoods Sustainable Freight Movement Study. V-TRANSFRM is a project that helps trucks move goods like food, clothes, and other supplies. Trucks drive on roads to take these goods to stores and people. But sometimes, bad weather like rain or heat can hurt the streets. This project looks at the roads to see which ones need help. Then it will make plans to fix and protect them. The project also uses money that is already ready to help make these plans happen. The goal is to help trucks move things in a way that is safe, smart, and good for the Earth. A group called TCAG is in charge of the project. Other groups in the San Joaquin Valley are helping too.

Engagement

V-TRANSFRM wants to hear from people in the community. They will ask for ideas to help make trucks travel more safely. And when the weather is bad. This will happen in Kern, Tulare, Kings, Fresno, Madera, Merced, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin counties. The project will talk to many different people. Even in places that are sometimes hard to reach. They want to find the most important roads and projects to help with weather problems. People can share their thoughts in workshops, surveys, and other events. This will help make strong plans that are good for everyone in the community.
